My Stray Animal Friends

If you are not able to make donations to Animal Welfare Organisations, or unable to volunteer in these Organisations, you can also get mental satisfaction by feeding the stray dogs or cattle in your area. You can divide your garbage into two separate packets. One packet can be for non-edible waste (plastic bottles, polythene bags, cans etc)  and the other packet can contain edible waste (vegetable and fruit peels,  leftovers etc) that the animals can consume.

What I have been doing for the past 15 years is feeding my Neighborhood Stray Dogs and also Spaying (neutering) them so that the population of Stray Dogs does not go out of Control. The photos are of my Stray Dogs that have been with me for the past 5 years. Let me share some of the Photos and my Experiences with them :

These 7 little puppies are the latest addition to my growing family. 4 Female Puppies and 3 Male Puppies. At present (08/01/2016) they are 40 days old and I am looking for good homes to settle them. Since the puppies look nice and healthy, people are ready to adopt them. I take their Photo and then place an Advertisement on Quikr.com

Quikr is much better than Olx since Quikr allows Pet Adoption Ads whereas Olx forces you to only Sell your Pets, even if you want to give them away for Free. Also Olx stubbornly does not want to change this silly feature.

These two are the Alpha and Beta of the pack and as usual, busy eating Pedigree.

These two Guys are brothers and the Gal is their friend. Nowadays in India with all the modernization and tractors plowing the fields, the Male Calf is separated from the Mother at a very early age and is left on the street to look after himself. These 2 Calves are very gentle and loving, they don't mind anyone petting them. Many of the Local Shopkeepers and the Vegetable Vendors feed them along with me, but it is a challenge feeding them and at the same time keeping their Larger family members at bay.

These two are not the only Male Calves that have been abandoned, there are quite a few of them over here. I want to feed them all, but right now it is not possible for me. Hopefully one day I will be able to feed everyone so that no living creature goes to sleep hungry. Below are photos of Stray Dogs that I had been feeding earlier. At present they are all adopted.

These photos are of 2015 batch of Stray dog puppies; found good homes for them in Ahmedabad through Quikr.com

These are my Feline friends, who used to earlier feast on the leftovers of their Stray dog buddies but nowadays get their separate share of Milk and Pedigree.

I will keep updating this post as an when new members join my Strays Club, till then
remember to divide your garbage into two separate packets. One packet can be
for non-edible waste (plastic bottles, polythene bags, cans etc)  and the other
packet can contain edible waste (vegetable and fruit peels,  leftovers etc) that the
animals can consume. This small step by everyone can help fill the stomachs of a
 lot of Stray animals.
